Your first visit

Better decisions begin with better understanding.

The purpose of your first appointment isn’t to commit you to treatment. It’s to understand what’s changed, identify the body systems contributing to your symptoms, and give you the clarity to make informed decisions about what comes next.

BeforeBefore your appointment

Once you’ve booked, we’ll ask you to complete a confidential online pelvic health questionnaire. This helps us understand your symptoms, medical history and goals before we meet.

Many men tell us they’ve never been asked these questions before. For many, simply taking the time to reflect on what’s been happening is an important first step.

During · 60 minDuring your appointment

Your initial consultation is approximately 60 minutes. We’ll begin by talking about your symptoms, how they’ve changed, your health, lifestyle and what you’d like to improve.

Where appropriate, we’ll perform a physical assessment. Many are completely non-invasive. Nothing happens without your understanding and agreement. You remain in control throughout.

UnderstandingUnderstanding before treating

One of the most valuable parts of your appointment is understanding the findings. We’ll explain how the systems contributing to sexual, bladder and pelvic function are working together, and which may be limiting your function.

Diagnoses help describe a problem. They don’t always explain why it’s happening. Every recommendation is based on your assessment rather than assumptions.

Problem-solvingA practical approach

Men are natural problem-solvers. Sometimes the most practical next step is recognising when a problem is likely to benefit from expert assessment and appropriate management.

Seeking advice isn’t about giving up control. It’s about making informed decisions with a clearer understanding of what’s happening and what evidence-informed options are available.

Leaving with a plan

By the end of your appointment you’ll have:

A clearer understanding of what’s contributing to your symptoms.
An opportunity to ask questions and discuss your goals.
A personalised, evidence-informed management plan.
A clear understanding of your options and any recommended next steps.
A partnership

Improving your health isn’t something we do to you. It’s something we work on together.

You don’t need to know what’s causing the problem before making an appointment. That’s our job. Your job is simply deciding that your health, confidence and quality of life are worth understanding.
